(Judith Ramirez) The MEP Program would like to nominate Ms. Judith Ramirez to be an ICOE Great Employee Moment (GEM) recipient.

This morning (8/4/22) we met with our ICOE MEP staff to debrief on the logistics regarding our MEP Camp Cuyamaca student arrival today at 12:00 p.m. We notified Ms. Judith Ramirez, custodian with M&O, regarding our logistics plan and requested feedback from her to ensure the smooth arrival of our MEP students. Ms. Ramirez provided support and incredible feedback on how to best execute our plan. She added traffic cones to reserve a safe area for our students, upon arrival at ICOE.

Prior to the MEP team arriving from Camp Cuyamaca, she plotted out an arrival process, anticipated the return of the MEP families, and provided support by directing them to building C where MEP staff would finalize the student check out process. This was an incredible gesture and very helpful to have everything ready and organize upon arrival.

Ms. Ramirez was on alert when the charter buses arrived at ICOE and removed the traffic cones so the buses could park safely. She also went above and beyond as she provided additional support by removing the student luggage from the charter buses, allowing us to focus on reuniting our MEP students with their families in an organized manner.
